  • How to put on makeup when you need glasses?

When you wear prescription glasses, you need to take them off to apply makeup. Most people use magnifying glasses or makeup mirrors to help them see as they are doing their makeup. Other people squint in front of the mirror, having to get so close, they press their nose against the mirror just to see. None of these are solutions. AJsens eyewear is different. Uniquely designed for people who require prescription eyewear and also wear makeup. AJsens titanium frame holds your own prescription lens and detaches at the bridge. Each side of the frame balances perfectly on your face, giving you full access to each eye to apply your makeup while seeing clearly.

  • How to apply makeup with poor eyesight?

Having poor eyesight does not mean you have to struggle with putting on makeup. AJsens eyewear is specifically designed for people with poor eyesight. Like a traditional frame, it holds your prescription lens so you can see clearly. The patent pending design, comes apart at the bridge so you can wear one side of the frame to see clearly while applying your makeup to the other eye.

  • How to do makeup when you can’t see without glasses?

Blurry vision makes makeup difficult to apply. Whether you're nearsighted, farsighted, or somewhere in between, applying makeup without clear vision often means pressing your face up to the mirror to get uneven eyeliner or smudged mascara. Some people try switching between reading glasses and makeup tools, that don't work well and become hard to juggle. AJsens eyewear holds your own prescription and is specifically designed to come apart at the bridge and balance on your face while giving you full access to each eye to apply your makeup clearly and without obstruction.

  • How do I wear makeup if I need glasses?

This is a question so many people with vision-needs face. Traditional advice often suggests using a magnifying mirror or applying makeup with your glasses on, but that can lead to smudges, frustration, and imprecisions. The most effective way is to use a solution that gives you crystal-clear, close-up vision without the fuss - like AJsens. Our innovative, detachable prescription frame allows you to apply makeup to one eye at a time, eliminating the struggle and ensuring you always achieve a confident, polished look.

  • How to wear glasses while wearing makeup?

Wearing glasses can make makeup application tricky. With regular eyewear, you have to take off your glasses to apply your makeup, limiting your ability to see what you are doing. However with AJsens eyewear, you get the best of both worlds. Specifically designed for applying makeup, the detachable titanium frame comes apart at the bridge so you can balance each side of the frame with your prescription lens to see as you apply your makeup. This allows you full access to one eye at a time, perfect for eye liner, lashes, and eyeshadow, working with your beauty routine — not against it.

We believe your self-care routine should be an act of self-celebration. Our social media channels are full of makeup routines and demos using our glasses. We also share tips on eye health and makeup hygiene, so you can always feel confident and in control.

  • How important is eye makeup hygiene?

Eye makeup hygiene is essential for protecting your eyes from irritation, infection, and long-term damage. Since the eye area is especially sensitive, even small lapses in hygiene like using dirty brushes or sharing products can lead to issues like styes, pink eye, or allergic reactions.

    To keep things clean:

    - Always wash your hands before applying makeup.

    - Clean brushes and tools before using.

    - Avoid using eye products when you have an eye infection.

    - Don’t share mascara, eyeliner, or anything that touches your eye directly.

Good hygiene not only protects your eyes but also helps your makeup perform better and last longer.

  • How often should we get our eyes checked?

Your eye health is important. Eye exams are generally recommended every one to two years, depending on your age, vision needs, and overall eye health. If you see changes in your vision ie. floaters, blurry vision, pain, frequent headaches, definitely consult an eye health care professional as soon as possible. Ask your doctor about having your retina checked as well. Regular eye exams help catch issues early, even if you don’t wear corrective lenses. They’re especially important if you spend a lot of time on screens or apply eye makeup frequently, as both can affect eye comfort and clarity over time.

  • How long can I use makeup before it expires?

It’s best to avoid using expired eye makeup, especially around your eyes. Products like mascara, eyeliner, and cream shadows can harbour bacteria over time, which increases the risk of irritation or infection once they’re past their shelf life.

    As a general guide:

    - Mascara: Replace every 3 months.

    - Liquid eyeliner: 3–6 months.

    - Cream shadows: Up to 6 months.

    - Powder shadows: Up to 1–2 years (if kept clean and dry).

If a product smells off, has changed in texture, or irritates your eyes, even if it’s technically “in date”, it’s safest to toss it. When in doubt, don’t risk it, your eyes will thank you.
